Announcement

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile…but as of now I decided to switch my blog over to Blogspot…you can keep following me at here.

I just don’t like how crowded my dashboard gets on tumblr but I don’t wanna unfollow anyone…also I think it’ll be easier for my non-tumblrs to comment on my posts.

I’ll prob still use my tumblr some…maybe. And if I like you a lot, I’ll still be checking out your blog.

After all, I might not even like Blogspot…we’ll see!

Just thought I’d give y’all a heads up!

I’m epic fail at blogging…at least check out MY FLICKR in the absence of my blog posts! Thanks! =]

Can’t stop reading…

Because I’ve been out of town for the past 3 of 4 weekends, so this week I decided to finally settle down and do something relaxing, which for me is reading (oh, and watching Gilmore Girls, but that’s a whole nother story).

I love love love to read! And I always have. And it runs in the family. My sisters and I were the kids that got in trouble for bringing books to the dinner table (and our game boys but that’s because Pokemon was is so darn addicting).

I was also that kid in the fifth grade on Wednesdays when we’d go to the library, who’d read one of her entire books at the lunch table (I guess I just ignored my friends).

Anyway the point of this post is that I started a new book, thanks to the recommendation of my friend, Chelsea.

It’s called “The Hunger Games.” Apparently, it’s really popular because everytime I tell someone I am reading it, they tell me they’ve already read it and how good it is. It is the first book in a series of three and soon, it’s gonna be made into a movie.

It’s so incredibly good; it’s one of those books that make me miss my kindle when I can’t be reading it. Like when I was at the track meet last night.

So basically if you’ve read it, don’t spoil it for me and if you haven’t read it, pick it up!

I plan to do a lot more leisure reading, hopefully, so what have you all been reading?

Happy One Year of Blogging to me!

And Happy Having Been Graduated for One Whole Year to all my JMU Class of 2010 alum!

Beau (#8) running the bases on Sunday (April 17, 2011).

My trip to JMU, Part 2…Sunday & Monday

I am so far behind. Back to my trip to JMU!

On Sunday, I got up and got ready. Then I headed to campus to walk around for a bit! I went to the bookstore and finally bought my first purple JMU hoodie! And I saw coincidentally ran into my RA from sophomore year!

For my JMU alumni, this is what our stadium looks like so far! You can see it from everywhere!

After I walked around campus for awhile, I headed over to Eastern Mennonite University to watch Beau’s doubleheader.

I had a lovely time hanging out with the Banglesdorfs, Jessica, and Daniel Rafferty while watching Beau play baseball! I also got some awesome photos.

I left Beau’s games a little bit before the second ended and went to grab some food and went to Wal-mart. Then when I went back to the house where I met up with Beau and Jessica.

Beau’s team won both their games so we decided to have a sweep party! So we headed to Wal-mart to pick a movie (we wanted HP7 PT1) and some food and beverages.

The Redbox didn’t have Harry Potter so we ended up with Due Date and then we made a plan to buy everything in the store that said “Party” on it. We didn’t really though.

When we got back to the house, Jeremy was back from his various outings. I showed him my awesome new hoodie and pictures from the baseball game.

Then Beau, Jessica, and I started our sweep party and the movie. For those of you who haven’t seen Due Date, it is HILARIOUS!

I ended up going to bed pretty late. I got up Monday and got ready really fast! I went and parked at the Mill (my old apartment complex) and walked to campus. I headed first to Carrier Library (the place I worked at for 3.5 years) where I met up with Heidi.

I visited some of my old bosses and then Heidi and I headed to the bus stop. We caught the bus to East Campus and she bought me food at Festival (bless her!) And then somehow, she talked me into sitting through her Physics class with her!

After Physics class, I made my way back to the other side of campus and decided I was in need of some definite Quad time! Matt Rummel met me on the Quad and we had our annual Quad photo shoot.

And true to Monday and Thursday tradition, I picked up my copy of The Breeze!

Then Matt and I decided to walk over to the Performing Arts Center where I finally got to meet Kristen. Which was awesome, read separate post on that!

After that, I headed back to The Mill and I stopped in to see Tori for a quick minute since I had seen her briefly on the Quad earlier that day. Then it was time for Beau’s last baseball game of the season, where I sat and talked with his dad and his sister, Chelsea.

Chelsea and I did end up talking about books, tv shows, photography, places we’d like to live, and various other things rather than catching some of the game! Beau did hit a homerun so that was exciting! And again, I got some awesome photos!

Then I headed to Michelle’s to see her new place. After a quick minute there, I headed back to the house to change for dinner.

Jeremy and I then headed to O’Charley’s to meet the Monday night crew! I had the best bacon cheeseburger. Then we went to The Blue Nile to meet Beau and Chris to watch one of Jeremy’s friend’s band. Hawthorne Heights also performed. It was cool, the boys moshed, I watched and we all had a great, memorable (or not so) time! =]

My Trip to JMU - Part 1 (Friday and Saturday)

As soon as I arrived in Harrisonburg (after my shorter trip!), I drove straight to Hotel Beau and Jeremy (my wonderful boys who let me crash with them - thanks!!!!) and became very confused because Jeremy, who had been bugging me about where I was since the hockey game was about to come on, was nowhere to be seen.

Or so I thought. It was actually his car that was missing, not him. Anyways, he came out of the house (while on the phone) and gave me the look (the hurry up one), so I rushed upstairs, changed into my red shirt (umm I needed to Rock the Red for the Capitals), and rushed back downstairs (keep in my mind that I was starving, had driven to Harrisonburg non-stop, and needed to go to the bathroom).

We then started our trip towards Bridgewater (a little town on the outskirts of Harrisonburg, that reminds me of Blackstone) to go watch the game at Brad’s house. Lo and behold, after being rushed, Brad wasn’t even home yet! So after frantically trying to find a tv at a restaurant in Bridgewater, driving halfway to Harrisonburg, and driving back to Bridgewater, we finally watched the last two periods of the hockey (and watched the Caps win) with Brad, Willie, and some other people. Then we were really tired so we went home and fell asleep at like 10:30 p..m.

Saturday morning, we got up (I was in my pajamas) and drove halfway to Stafford to meet Jeremy’s parents to switch cars in the pouring down rain. When we got back to Harrisonburg, we met Beau and Jessica at IHOP, where I watched Beau devour more food than one person should that early in the morning! After that, Jeremy showed me his new office, which pretty much has the best view of all downtown. I also met one of his coworkers and his in-laws (please keep in mind I was still in my pajamas).

After that, I showered while Jeremy signed his new lease. Then we watched some basketball on television with Beau (Beau was supposed to have baseball games that day but they were cancelled because…). It rained like crazy all day. We had severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings. There were tornados in my hometown on Saturday.

Jeremy and I both fell asleep on the couch during the basketball game while I was waiting for the rain to stop. Then we went to the mall for a hot minute. After the mall, I went to campus and saw Matt Rummel for a bit. We ended up going to dinner at E-hall (Thanks Matt). After dinner, I went back to the house and Jeremy and I met Jessica, Beau, Josh and Lauren downtown.

After staying downtown for a little bit, we went back to the house and I managed to stay awake a little bit longer, falling asleep at 11:30 p.m.
